Really jacked that the BBC ended shortwave radio service to North America. I can listen to the Scottish referendum results online but that just doesn’t have the same feel as good old-fashioned analog static booming in from over the pond. Something as momentous as this feels a bit more post-war and less post-millennium and the digital audio is wrecking the mood.

She’s giving what she can! She’ll shake all to bits and back she will!
Fuckin 97% of eligible voters registered.
And 75-85% of them actually got off their ass and voted. Impressive.
Looking like Labour remains relevant in Westminster for the foreseeable future…well as relevant as Ed Milliband can be, spastic git that he is.
Even though it would be a huge boon to the Tories if it had split, I’m a little sad Scotland looks to remain in the UK. I can’t help but feel if the SNP were a bit more together or if Cameron hadn’t pushed for such a quick ballot things might have gone otherwise.
As it stands I think the primary issue was the FUD that the No supporters could spread given the fuzzy guidance on how some very foundational questions asked of an independent Scotland would be answered.
I thought I was paying much attention and was reasonably well informed… muh hat’s off to ye
LOL. I was born 4200 miles too far west. That and I get a lot of my news from the BBC because I’m not fond of any of the choices here.
